I’m very sorry. I thought I would have time for keeping this blog up-to-date while I’m here in Vietnam, but for many reasons this has been impossible. I have not even been able to keep my friends back home informed of my activities. I feel pretty bad about it.
I realize now that Vietnam (and Asia, for that matter) is a beast I’ve yet to understand. It’s been a roller coaster like I’ve never experienced.
Next week I’ll be going to Japan. Believe it or not, I hope to get a little rest there and get my thoughts in order. I’ll also try to recapture your hearts after I get back to Vietnam.

Trying to make money by blogging is currently very popular. Very few are opting out. in my All Stars has been running ads since its inception. Today I am opting out. I am, at least for now, choosing to make in my All Stars revenueless.
I’ve been planning to do this for a while now. But I’ve also been planning on finally finishing and fixing the current “new” in my All Stars theme, which still needs to be attributed correctly to the sources of inspiration. I also want to finish the about page. But none of this happened before I left Holland. In any case, removing ads was an easy change. I hope to finally address some of the other points this week.
Why remove ads? I didn’t think they brought in enough money to be worth the screen real estate that they were taking up. in my All Stars is a small blog. On good days I get about 500 visitors. The best I’ve seen is 2000. Normally it’s around 350. This kind of traffic does not result in a decent profit. And so, as you can see, AdSense will have to wait till those figures improve.
As of today, until further notice, I make no money off of my online activities.

I’m back! I’ve been out for a while due to the facts of life as a college student in his last semester. The good news is that I graduated with honors. I had to move out, which was a lot of work, do a lot of preparing for my trip to Asia that starts next weekend, and, in the meantime, also go to Switzerland with a few college pals. In fact, I’m on the way to Klosters, Switzerland right now! I look forward to a good week of activities in these beautiful mountains.
But this week wont all be fun and games. I have a ton of things to do with the site this week and really hope to finish all such activities before I leave on my six month return to Asia adventure. I’ll be publishing interviews with two great travesphere publishers, Mark of Upgrade: Travel Better and Pia of Backpackers.com. Next to that I’ll have a nice Trusted Travel Blogs Network update and hopefully I’ll also have some time to finish the lose ends on the website code (and finally do proper ‘about’ and ‘contact’ pages).
In any case, expect that and more from me in the coming days. It’s nice to be back!

I’ve been hellishly busy the last few weeks. Finishing off college. Final papers, exams, parties. You know. I hope you guys accept this as an excuse for the lack of new content here. But there’s so much to do here, too! I’m still not done with the new site design. I have two interviews ready to be edited and put online. I’ve got a series of interesting links for the asides. I even have a few articles that still need to be finalized. Gah!
A few weeks ago some fellow Travesphere bloggers were doing the rounds with a post called “5 Reasons Why I Travel”. TravMonkey tagged me on his round. Ever since then I’ve been meaning to do my post. That day never came.
Today, Darren Rowse of ProBlogger launched his latest Group Writing Project, and this time the topic is “Top 5″.
My mind goes: 5 Reasons Why I Travel. Top 5. 5 Reasons Why I Travel. Top 5. Get the idea? Click here to keep reading…
