    I am stunned. I have just written a longish piece on their post. I can’t believe they would have such bad luck.

    I love that country. Having lived their for two and a half years it is a place that moved me to tears on too many occasions to count, with its kindness and hospitality.

    I’m sorry but if you are being treated that badly sometimes you have to ask yourself what you are doing wrong.

    In all the time I was there I never saw or heard anything to that degree.

    Me neither. But it seems like they got out of it okay. Tough times make for good stories, and one day, maybe, they can laugh a little about it all.

    I agree - I also agree that if you have that attitude you get by just fine.

    One thing I will admit, and I said it in the link I left on their blog - you have to smile in Vietnam to make things work. If they are as tired as they say they are and obviously started to get worn down my traveling then, perhaps, Vietnam is not the best place to be.
